Manhattan

Serve In : Cocktail Glass (6 oz) as shown above

3 fl oz (75 ml) Bourbon or rye whiskey
1 fl oz (25 ml) sweet vermouth
ice cubes as required
2 cocktail cherries

1. Place ice cubes in mixing glass(es). Pour the whiskey and sweet vermouth over the ice cubes stirring briskly to mix well.
2. Strain into chilled cocktail glass(es).
3. Serve decorated with cocktail cherries on a cocktail stick.

* TIP: Vermouth is a type of wine with herbal infusions. There are three types of vermouth: dry vermouth, sweet vermouth and half-sweet vermouth.

Kir

Serve In : Goblet (6 oz) as shown above
Type : Alcoholic cocktail
Serves : 1

1 fl oz (25 ml) crème de cassis
4 fl oz (100 ml) dry white wine
2 ice cubes

1. Place the ice cubes in goblet(s). Pour over the crème de cassis and the dry white wine.
2. Stir lightly and serve.

* TIP: Crème de cassis is a blackcurrant-flavored French liqueur.

Serve In : Old-fashioned Glass (8 - 10 fl oz) as shown above
1 fl oz (25 ml) gin
2 fl oz (50 ml) grapefruit juice
3 ice cubes
1 orange slice(s)

1. Place the ice cubes in old-fashioned glass(es). Pour the gin and the grapefruit juice over the ice cubes. Stir gently.
2. Serve decorated with orange slice(s).

* TIP: Vodka can be used instead of gin.

Clamato Cocktail

Serve In : Old-fashioned Glass (8 - 10 fl oz) as shown above

1½ fl oz (37 ml) vodka
3 fl oz (75 ml) tomato juice
1 fl oz (25 ml) clamato juice
ice cubes as required

1. Pour the vodka, tomato juice and clamato juice into a shaker with ice cubes. Shake well.
2. Strain the mixture over ice cubes into old-fashioned glass(es) and serve.

* TIP: Clamato juice is made from tomatoes and clams. Mott's of USA is a famous brand for clamato juice.

Christmas Santa Claus Shot

Serve In : Shot Glass (2 oz) as shown above
Type : Alcoholic Shooter - Christmas
Serves : 1

½ fl oz (12 ml) peppermint schnapps
½ fl oz (12 ml) green crème de menthe
½ fl oz (12 ml) grenadine
candy cane to decorate

1. Pour the grenadine in a shot glass.
2. Pour the green crème de menthe with a spoon gently so that it does not mix.
3. Top with peppermint schnapps. Place a candy cane and serve without stirring.

* TIP: Crème de menthe is a peppermint-flavored liqueur.
* Grenadine is a strong blood-red syrup made with pomegranates and honey.

Christmas Love

Serve In : Tall Flute Glass (6 oz) as shown above

0 fl oz (0 ml) brandy
0 fl oz (0 ml) sherry (sweet or medium)
0 slices of lemon, zest finely grated
0 cube(s) sugar
0 fl oz (0 ml) dry sparkling white wine

1. Pour the brandy and sherry in a tall flute glass. Stir in the lemon zest and sugar cube(s). Continue stirring till the sugar dissolves. Cover and refrigerate for about an hour or till well-chilled.
2. To serve, add the dry sparkling white wine to the flute glass and float the lemon slices on top.

Christmas Martini

Serve In : Martini Glass(6 oz) as shown above

1¼ fl oz (31 ml) gin
¼ fl oz (6 ml) dry vermouth
¼ teaspoon(s) peppermint schnapps
cracked ice as required
candy cane to garnish

1. Half-fill a cocktail shaker with the cracked ice. Pour the gin, dry vermouth and the peppermint schnapps. Shake well.
2. Strain the mixture into chilled Martini glass(es).
3. Serve garnished with a candy cane.

Brandy Flip

Serve In : Brandy Balloon Glass (12 fl oz) as shown above

2 fl oz (50 ml) brandy
1 egg(s)
1 teaspoon(s) granulated sugar
crushed ice cubes as required
grated nutmeg to garnish

1. Shake all the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker with crushed ice cubes.
2. Strain the mixture into brandy balloon glass(es) and serve garnished with a sprinkling of grated nutmeg.

* TIP: Granulated sugar is also known as caster sugar.

1 fl oz (25 ml) tequila
1 fl oz (25 ml) white rum
1 fl oz (25 ml) grapefruit juice
2 fl oz (50 ml) pineapple juice
1 fl oz (25 ml) coconut milk
crushed ice cubes as required
1 wedge(s) of pineapple to decorate.

1. Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice cubes. Shake well.
2. Strain the mixture into hurricane glass(es).
3. Serve garnished with wedge(s) of pineapple.

* TIP: Acapulco was originally made from dark rum without any fruit juices.
